John Suby has been a fixture in Madison’s financial community for 36 years. Serving businesses and individuals, he has made estate planning and business succession planning the focus of his practice. He savors his personal bond with clients – including acting as a trustee for many of their trusts – and makes himself available to them at any time for any issue, business or personal. John received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting in 1961 from Spencerian College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1972, John received his Certified Public Accountant Credential, and is a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants He also serves as the Chair of the Lutheran Social Services Foundation Board.

Amy Butrymowicz

Amy Butrymowicz is a Suby Group Shareholder who has spent the last decade working with restaurant owners and small businesses in bookkeeping, accounting and tax matters. By specializing her practice in these specific segments, she has developed techniques to help clients improve operational performance, maximize cash management, and implement payroll systems. Amy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from DePaul University, where she was Beta Alpha Psi and a participant in the Strobel Honors program. She earned her CPA in 2002, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Amy is active in her church’s council, an avid golfer and enjoys cooking in her spare time.

Ann Piazza

Ann Piazza, manager of John F. Suby Wealth Management, LLC, has worked in trusts and investments for 15+ years. She is a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), and is responsible for all aspects of John F. Suby Wealth Management, where she reviews estate plans, provides research on special projects, and administers trusts in which JFS is trustee. Ann received her BS degree from Upper Iowa University in Accounting and Management.

John F. Stoehr brings over 30 years of experience to his role as shareholder in The Suby Group. His broad experience includes business financial accounting, taxation and consulting, as well as individual taxation and consulting. John builds long-term relationships with clients with an emphasis on setting and reaching goals using proven planning and risk-management strategies. Since 2002, John has been specializing in the restaurant accounting and taxation arena and has enjoyed helping those clients enhance their profitability. In addition to his CPA designation, John is a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). He is an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned his Bachelors and Masters of Business Administration in Accounting. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Matt Suby, Suby Group Partner and Shareholder, heads up the firm’s office in Rockford, Illinois. He has 20+ years experience in accounting and tax matters for individuals and businesses, including focused work for the Health Care Industry. He holds a BS in Accounting from the College of St. Thomas and a Master of Taxation from The George Washington University School of Government and Business Administration. His many charitable activities include serving as treasurer of the Goldie Floberg Center (home for children and young adults with developmental disabilities).
