It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of John F. Suby, CPA, on March 1, 2026. John was an extraordinary leader, colleague, and friend, and he will be dearly missed by everyone at The Suby Group.
John cared deeply for every client—not only in business, but personally—treating each relationship as if it were family. That spirit of service and connection helped shape who we are as a firm.

John Suby is a shareholder of the SUBY Group and has been a fixture in Madison's financial community for 50 years. Serving businesses and individuals, he has made estate planning and business succession planning the focus of his practice. He savors his personal bond with clients - including acting as a trustee for many of their trusts - and makes himself available to them at any time for any issue, business or personal. John received his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1961 from Spencerian College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1972, John received his Certified Public Accountant credential. He is Vice President of the Lions Pride Endowment Fund of Wisconsin, Inc., as well as serving on their Board of Directors. John enjoys golf and travel.
